Kids Can Free the Children
“Free The Children was founded by 12-year-old Craig Kielburger in 1995 when he gathered 11 school friends to begin fighting child labour. Today, Free The Children is the world's largest network of children helping children through education, with more than one million young people involved in our programs in 45 countries.” Free the Children has been especially effective recently and has grown into a social movement powered by youth.
Peace and Conflict Studies
The journal is published by the Lentz Peace Research Association on behalf of the Network of Peace and Conflict Studies. The goal of the publication is to discuss various issues in peace research and conflict analysis. Articles deal with the environment, social change, grassroots movements, poverty and hunger, human security, economic equity, non-violence, disarmament, cultural studies and conflict resolution.

Probably best known for its Trick or Treat Halloween campaign begun n Canada in 1955, Unicef worksas a volunteer driven organization, UNICEF Canada works to mobilize the support of all Canadians to realize the rights of the world's most vulnerable children. “One of UNICEF Canada’s cornerstones is its Education for Development programme, which works through schools, special projects and the Internet to engage children and youth in international development issues such as HIV/AIDS, girls’ education, children and war, child labour and children’s rights.”
