Units of Study

Gender Equality, Human Rights, Environment, Global Economics, Global Organizations, Cultural Awareness

The units are organized under three themes: fostering a fair and equitable society, cultivating a balanced and sustainable environment, and promoting a culture of peace, leadership and power.  We organized the units this way so a teacher or a group of teachers in a school could choose to focus on the particular theme most relevant to their students at that time.  We felt this approach would help students to make connections between units as they explored the concepts over time.
